Happy Tuesday!

What’s everyone got going on this week? I’m still trying to recover from losing an hour of sleep. Thankfully it’s shaping up to be a quiet week in my house, which I am very excited about.

Over the weekend, I put together our March event list, which you can check out here if you’d like.

Let’s get to it!

🐉 Dragon Alley Launches Soft Opening in MidCity

The long-anticipated Dragon Alley has begun welcoming guests with its soft opening at the former Wahlburgers building in MidCity.

The restaurant is hosting reservation-only soft opening nights through Thursday, and anyone eager to check it out can reserve a table here.

If you’ve not seen inside yet, it’s definitely one of the more colorful and unique restaurants in town. You can see inside and check out the menu here.

📚 Blushing Books Turns to Community to Open Storefront

What started as a bright pink book bus rolling through town could soon become a permanent literary home in Huntsville.

Blushing Books has been operating out of a bright pink van, but now they’re calling on the community to help fund a brick-and-mortar location. They’re hoping to create a permanent space where readers can browse curated romance novels, attend book clubs and author signings, and most importantly… connect with fellow book lovers.

Supporters can contribute through the store’s crowdfunding campaign, which will help cover shelving, décor, and opening inventory for the future shop.

🇺🇸 Step Back in Time at Burritt’s ‘We the People’ Historic Park Experience

History is coming to life this spring as Burritt on the Mountain launches a new interactive experience called We the People.

Opening this weekend and running through September, the historic park installation invites your family to explore what everyday life looked like in the 1800s while celebrating America’s upcoming 250th birthday.

As you wander through authentic 19th-century homes, kids ages 4–12 can enjoy hands-on activities like traditional games, heritage crafts, gemstone panning, and a scavenger hunt.

You’ll also discover stories about the families who once lived there through fun facts and QR codes, all included with regular admission.

TOGETHER WITH DUCKETT POINTE

🏠 Dreaming of Life on the Lake?

We recently had the opportunity to visit Duckett Pointe, one of Lake Guntersville’s newest luxury lakefront communities. Watch our reel for a look inside.

This gated neighborhood is thoughtfully designed to maximize water views and sunsets, with customizable floor plans and an optional private elevator in select homes. It blends the beauty of lake life with resort-style amenities.

Residents enjoy a clubhouse with a restaurant, bar, and pool, plus a private dock with boat concierge and rentals. There’s also a fitness center overlooking the water and a five-acre green space with stocked ponds and a pavilion. Even lawn care, house cleaning, and shopping assistance are built into the lifestyle.

If lake living has ever been on your radar, Duckett Pointe is worth a closer look. Click below to download a brochure to learn more about amenities, the community, and FAQs!
