🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Returns to Downtown This Saturday

The 49th Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade will roll through Downtown Huntsville tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

The free parade has been a staple of the community since 1978, when the owner of Finnegan’s Pub, a native of Ireland, organized the first parade. Decades later, her work continues to bring thousands of people together each year.

The parade will wind through the heart of Downtown Huntsville with floats, music, and plenty of Irish spirit. One of the most meaningful moments of the event happens when the parade pauses in front of St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church on Jefferson Street for the ceremonial raising of the Irish and American flags.

Whether you come for the floats, the music, or simply the festive atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Rocket City. Be sure to check the parade route before you go!
