šŸšæ Huntsville NonProfit Helping Hurricane Victims

ShowerUp Huntsville made its way to North Carolina this week to offer free showers and laundry to those in need following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

If the name sounds familiar, itā€™s because ShowerUp typically offers free showers and laundry to Huntsvilleā€™s homeless population.

ā€œWe never planned to do disaster relief," Chief Operating Officer Taylor Reed told WAFF. ā€œBut we got an unprecedented amount of phone calls, emails, and text messages from people within the community just asking for help.ā€

Reed said that theyā€™ve used donations from Huntsville residents to purchase tankers of water to make sure everyone who needs help can get it.

We are donating $100 to ShowerUp and would like to encourage you to do the same. You can make a donation here.

šŸ„ƒ Big Whiskeyā€™s Now Open

The new Big Whiskeyā€™s in Madison celebrated its grand opening last weekend. Itā€™s located in the old Shrimp Basket restaurant for those familiar with the area.

They serve classic American food, along with 117 different whiskeys! Thereā€™s also a large outdoor patio area with artificial turf and yard games that make for a great spot to hang out with friends or family.

Be sure to stop by next time youā€™re nearby (7814 Hwy 72 Madison, AL 35758). You can check out the menu here.
