Happy Tuesday!
September has arrived! How did we get here already?
Hereās a list of all the fun things happening this month!
Alrighty, letās get to it!

š Taking Flight
š Scarecrow Trail Returns to Huntsville Botanical Garden
The Huntsville Botanical Garden is welcoming fall with the return of its beloved Scarecrow Trail. From now through Halloween, you can see dozens of scarecrows all across the gardenās grounds.
Families, schools, and businesses took part in this yearās theme, Witchy Woodlands. Every entry managed to create something truly whimsical, spooky, or downright magical. By day, the trail offers family-friendly fun along the Gardenās scenic paths. But from October 16ā19, it will take on a spirited new twist as an extension of Spellbound at the Garden, a 21+ event filled with witchy charm.
If you're looking to get in the spooky spirit, swing by for a creative mix of enchanted forest creatures, glowing lanterns, and plenty of autumn magic.
š Fall NEACA Craft Show Returns This Month
A true Huntsville staple returns to the VBC this month, as the North East Alabama Craftsmenās Associationās Fall Craft Show is just a few weeks away.
From September 19ā21, more than 200 booths will showcase handcrafted creations ranging from woodwork and pottery to jewelry, holiday dĆ©cor, and unique gifts. The event is free to attend, making it a perfect weekend outing!
Proceeds from the Fall Craft Show will benefit area non-profits and the Thomas W. Davidson Senior Center. Over the decades, NEACA has raised more than a million dollars for local charities.
š°ļø Alabamaās Two New Tax Breaks
As of yesterday, the State of Alabama will no longer be collecting sales tax on baby supplies. This includes formula, wipes, feeding supplies, and even maternity clothing and menstrual hygiene products.
The state will also be reducing its sales tax on food, dropping it from 3% to 2%. This 1% change is expected to save shoppers over $120 million this year!
