September kicks off Huntsville's Music Month, the Museum of Art reopens with free admission, and two new restaurants are now open!

With September just around the corner, I’ve been busy putting together a big list of all the fun things happening this month. Here are a few that I’m looking forward to:

Get ready for a full month of music, culture, and community as Huntsville Music Month returns with concerts, festivals, and events that spotlight our local talent and growing reputation as a music hub.
Here’s what’s on the calendar:
Aug. 30 – VBC 5K Music Run combines fitness and live music through Downtown Huntsville
Sept. 5–7 – LAUNCHPAD features two nights of outdoor concerts with regional and national acts
Sept. 12–21 – Women in Music Week celebrates female musicians across the city
Sept. 18–20 – Campus 805’s 10th Anniversary offers three days of live performances and festivities
Sept. 21 – CulturA Festival at The Orion blends Latin music, food, and cultural celebration
Sundays in September – Jazz in the Park brings free jazz to Big Spring Park every Sunday night
Whether you're into jazz, indie, Latin, or local legends, there's something for everyone. Huntsville Music Month brings energy to the city, supports local talent, and highlights why the Rocket City continues to grow as a music destination.

🎊 Huntsville Museum of Art Reopens With Free Admission
After months of upgrades and renovations, the Huntsville Museum of Art is reopening its doors this Sunday, August 31.
The recent closure allowed for a state-of-the-art HVAC and humidity control system to be installed, ensuring a better environment for the museum’s collections and visitors alike. During that time, the galleries were also completely reimagined and redesigned, offering brand-new exhibits alongside refreshed displays of beloved favorites.
To celebrate the reopening, the museum is offering free admission to everyone who stops by on Sunday!
🍻 The Brass Tap Opens in Hampton Cove
All of you in Hampton Cove now have a new go-to spot for cold drinks and good eats. The Brass Tap is officially open at 6407 Highway 431.
The sleek new space is perfect for weekend hangouts and gameday get-togethers. The menu goes beyond typical bar food, offering everything from burgers, tacos, and wings to cauliflower crust pizzas and chicken tacos, with plenty of cider and seltzer options for gluten-free guests.
Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or late-night bites, The Brass Tap is ready to be Hampton Cove’s new neighborhood bar for cheering, snacking, and sipping.
🥖 Viet Crispwich Brings Fresh Banh Mi to Huntsville
Huntsville has a new spot for sandwich lovers built on bold flavors and crispy bites. Viet Crispwich is now open at 1300 Enterprise Way!
Specializing in authentic Vietnamese banh mi with a modern twist, the shop serves up sandwiches layered with savory meats, fresh veggies, and fresh-baked bread. The dishes are served alongside rice bowls, dry noodles, Vietnamese coffee, boba teas, and matcha lattes.
