🚀 Taking Flight

⚾️ Toyota Field’s $30 Million Upgrade

Madison city leaders are proposing a $30 million upgrade to Toyota Field. It would add more locker rooms for players and coaches, seven new suites, a club area, and a rooftop clubhouse.

The MLB is requiring new locker rooms to add space for female coaches and umpires. This will cost around $12.5 million.

The extra renovations would add around $16 million to the price tag. But city leaders say that it will help add more revenue to the ballpark and will pay for itself over time.

✈️ Huntsville Airport Adding Nonstop Flights to New York

Delta will offer nonstop flights from Huntsville to New York, starting April 14, 2025. There will be one flight every day, leaving at 7 AM and returning at 9:30 PM. The flight will take around 2 hours and 20 minutes and can hold 76 passengers.

🎄 Polar Express Christmas Tree Lighting

The City of Madison will host the Polar Express Christmas Tree Lighting on December 6, starting at 5 PM.

Everyone is invited to enter the event through Snowflake Alley. There will be free hot chocolate, cookies, and visits with Santa. There will also be performances by the Madison City Schools choirs and the Madison City Community Orchestra.

At 5:45 PM, all children can participate in the Glow Stick Parade. After, a local librarian will read The Polar Express, and the tree will be lit!
