đ¨ Huntsvilleâs New 40,000 Square Foot Pickleball Facility
Pickleball is booming across the country, and Huntsville is joining the movement in a big way. The Picklr, the worldâs largest indoor pickleball franchise, is set to open a 40,000-square-foot facility on University Drive this December.
Itâs their second Alabama location, following a successful launch in Birmingham. The Huntsville club will have 11 courts, including seven championship-sized ones, and offer open play, leagues, tournaments, clinics, and private lessons. It will even offer AI-powered coaching to help players track progress and sharpen their skills.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, The Picklr is built to welcome everyone. A full pro shop will stock exclusive gear, and a large event space will host parties, team-building events, and more.
The facility will be open from morning to midnight, so grab your paddle and get ready. The courts open soon!

Thereâs no slowing down Huntsville City FC. The Boys in Blue are riding high after securing their sixth consecutive victory, this time in dramatic fashion with a last-second score against New York City FC II.
The energy inside Wicks Family Field has been electric, and fans have rallied behind a team that continues to find ways to win. With confidence soaring and a strong sense of momentum, Huntsville now sets its sights on a tough road matchup against Chattanooga FC before coming back home on September 13.
That night promises even more excitement as they plan a retro return, âThrowback Night,â a chance for fans to celebrate both the teamâs present success and its growing place in Huntsvilleâs sports history.
If you havenât been to a game yet, there are only three home games left this season! You can see the full schedule here.
đś Huntsville Is Making a Mark at AMERICANAFEST 2025
Huntsville Music leaders are about to hit the road. This September, the Huntsville Music Office will organize several events for this yearâs Americana Fest in Nashville.
The two special events, Muscle Shoals Meets the Rocket City on September 9 and the Rocket City Ramble on September 11, will spotlight a mix of rising stars and seasoned performers from right here in North Alabama. The event is backed by iconic partners like FAME Recording Studios, and the shows highlight why Huntsville is quickly becoming a major stop on the Americana music map.
Both events are free to attend, so be sure to put them on your calendar if you want to make the drive!
