🚀 Taking Flight
🥾 Monte Sano’s Spacewalk Trail Reopens After Major Revamp
The Spacewalk Trail on Monte Sano Mountain has officially reopened following a major restoration.
The updated 16.5-mile loop reconnects previously separated sections, creating a continuous hiking trail for the first time in years. To celebrate, the Land Trust of North Alabama marked the occasion with a unique “stick-cutting” ceremony this weekend.
Originally developed in the 1960s, the trail’s revival was made possible through community efforts, including contributions from local Eagle Scouts!
🌯 Chipotle Expanding with New Downtown Huntsville Location
Chipotle has announced plans for a new location on Governor’s Drive, just down from the hospital.
This means that you won’t have to drive all the way out to University to feed your burrito cravings! We don’t have an opening date yet, but we will keep you posted!
🍕 Local Pizza Pro Wins Big on National Stage
A North Alabama local is earning national recognition after a standout performance at one of the pizza world’s biggest competitions.
Camryn Suggs, general manager of Valentina’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar, took home first place in both the traditional and non-traditional Southeast divisions at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.
She faced off against more than 100 chefs in each category, and made history as the first to win both in the same year!
If you’d like to try her award winning pizza, swing by Valentina’s at 25783 Huntsville Brownsferry Rd!
