Happy Tuesday!

Thanks for letting me pop into your inbox this morning. I’ve got a few quick announcements before we get going.

At the beginning of the year I told you that I wanted to do more community events and get people together in-person. So with that, I’m excited to announce two upcoming community events:

  • Mahjong For Beginners (April 25)

  • Murder Mystery Dinner (May 12)

More details are coming for both, so be on the lookout for those announcements and mark these dates on your calendar!

Let’s get to it!

🚀 Taking Flight

Trash Pandas Open Season With Action Packed Weekend

Baseball is back in the Rocket City as the Trash Pandas kick off their first home series of the season this weekend!

The Friday-Sunday lineup promises plenty of entertainment for fans of all ages as the team takes on The Biloxi Shuckers at Toyota Field. Fireworks will light up the sky following both Friday and Saturday night games, while Sunday brings a festive twist with a post-game Easter egg hunt for the kiddos.

🏗 Former Garden Cove Site Set For New Life on Meridian Street

The former Garden Cove Produce was once a beloved neighborhood market known for local fruits, vegetables, and a welcoming atmosphere. However, the Meridian Street location has sat idle since closing in 2016.

Now, plans are taking shape to transform the space into a vibrant community hub featuring shops, dining, and gathering areas. Early concepts highlight outdoor seating, boutique retail, and a coffee spot, all designed to bring people together.

Developers are even inviting public input, aiming to shape the project into a true community destination!

🛍 Huntsville’s Largest Estate Sale Returns For Final Drop

After drawing huge crowds during its first run, a massive second wave of treasures is hitting the market as organizers prepare for the final release of the city’s largest estate sale.

All items are part of the historic Lowe Estate, with hundreds of additional items that never made it to the sales floor. You can expect everything from antique furniture and fine art to vintage fashion, jewelry, and rare collectibles.

With deep discounts increasing throughout the week, you’ll want to swing by if you have time. Everything’s happening in the shopping center at 7900 Bailey Cove Road, right next to Casa Blanca.
