One of Huntsville’s favorite spring traditions is making its return as Concerts on the Dock kicks off a new season at Lowe Mill this Friday!

Held every Friday in May from 6 to 9 PM, the free concert series transforms the historic loading dock into a lively stage for local and regional talent. This year’s lineup features a mix of artists, from Adam Guthrie to the Cigar Box Guitar Festival kickoff. See the full lineup here.

Guests are encouraged to bring friends, family, and even pets to enjoy live music, food, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere on the East lawn.

A new chapter is underway at Amelie Coffee as new owners Rhiannon and Justin have officially taken over the local café!

With years of experience in the coffee industry, the duo says their focus is on building community while introducing a more handcrafted approach to the menu. Plans include shifting away from pre-packaged items in favor of house-made syrups and freshly prepared pastries, alongside seasonal menu updates.

The City of Huntsville is moving forward with a major streetscape upgrade along Old Monrovia Road, aimed at enhancing connectivity near MidCity.

The approved project will bring nearly half a mile of improvements between University Drive and Corporate Drive, including multiuse paths, landscaped medians, turn lanes, and decorative lighting.

City leaders say the upgrades will not only improve traffic flow and pedestrian access but also help extend the footprint of the rapidly growing MidCity area. Construction is expected to begin next month, with completion targeted for sometime this Fall.
