🌟 Two Huntsville Restaurants Earn Michelin Recognition

Huntsville’s culinary scene is officially on the map, and it’s shining brighter than ever. Two of the city’s most beloved dining spots, Purveyor and Salt Smokehouse, have been named among Michelin’s 2025 Recommended Restaurants for the American South, placing them in the same company as some of the most distinguished kitchens across the region.

Out of more than 150 restaurants recognized, only 10 were from Alabama, and Huntsville proudly claimed two of those spots.

Located downtown, Purveyor has long been known as a cornerstone of elevated Southern dining, where bold flavors meet refined presentation. With a menu featuring inventive takes on classic American fare, paired with local craft beers, fine bourbons, and an exceptional wine list, every detail reflects the restaurant’s dedication to world-class hospitality.

Just a few miles away, inside the revitalized Lincoln Mill, Salt Smokehouse’s menu brings a different kind of innovation to the table. This family-owned gem blends traditional Southern barbecue with unexpected Asian influences, creating a fresh, flavorful twist on comfort food.

Together, Purveyor and Salt Smokehouse have helped put Huntsville’s food scene firmly on the national stage.

Huntsville will honor those who served with the annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11, beginning at 11:11 AM, following a pre-parade show at 10:30 AM at Veterans Memorial Park.

More than 150 entries, including floats, marching bands, and military units, are expected to fill the streets in celebration of local veterans. Spectators can enjoy the new parade route, explore Big Spring Park before the festivities, and stay afterward for displays and activities in the park.

The parade is free to attend and open to all who wish to show appreciation for our nation’s heroes.

🎶 New Music Venue Coming to Back Forty

Known for pairing great craft beer with community and creativity, Back Forty is expanding its footprint to bring even more energy, live entertainment, and year-round fun to Huntsville’s music scene.

While details are still under wraps, you can expect the same welcoming atmosphere and local pride that have made Back Forty a favorite hangout since it first opened. So, the only question left is: who do you want to see take the stage first?
