❤️ A New Date Night Spot
Where to watch fireworks tonight, plus a new date night spot and big news for Wade Mountain Nature Preserve!
Happy Friday 4th of July!
The smell of freedom is in the air, and the long weekend is here!
I’ll keep things short today, but I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!
Let’s get to it!

👨🚀 Blast Off
🥾 Wade Mountain Nature Preserve Expands
The Land Trust of North Alabama just bought over two acres from the Berkebile family to expand Wade Mountain Nature Preserve in North Huntsville.
The new land, just north of the Fleming Trailhead on Spragins Hollow Road, connects directly to the Davis tracts acquired in 2022. This protected hardwood forest helps link up the preserve’s ecosystem, making the area stronger against development and healthier for wildlife.
With about 13 miles of trails now available, this addition also opens the door for future trail extensions and new access points.
“Wade Mountain continues to be a favorite destination for outdoor exploration in North Huntsville," said the Land Trust of North Alabama.
"With each addition, we take another step toward ensuring this special place remains protected and accessible for generations to come.”

🍫 Pizzelle's Confections Receives National Award
Huntsville’s Pizelle’s Confections was just named one of the Top 10 Best Chocholate Shops in the country by USA Today!
If this sounds familiar, it’s because they were named the top chocolate shop last year!
If you haven’t been by before, the shop is run by two sisters who LOVE chocholate. They blend visual art with fine chocholate and it’s unlike anything else around here. If you want to see what I’m talking about, just take a look at their menu.
Be sure to swing by sometime and congratulate them on their award and grab a few pieces of chocholate. The shop is located at Campus 805.
