📅 5 Things To Do This Weekend

🎭 The Tina Turner Musical

The Broadway Theatre League is performing The Tina Turner Musical this weekend. The show tells the inspiring journey of a woman who broke barriers and became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll. There are a total of five performances, and tickets are available here.

🎄 Holiday Light Show Kick-Off

Bridge Street will light its 45-foot Christmas tree this Friday and celebrate with a winter wonderland. Come watch the tree get lit and enjoy some faux snow! You can find the tree at the north fountain near the Cinemark.

🏒 Huntsville Havoc Grateful Dead Night

The Havoc are hosting the Rail Yard Dogs this Friday for Grateful Dead Night. There will be live music, specialty jerseys, and hopefully a Havoc win! The game starts at 7 PM, and tickets are available for $10 each.

❄️ Jingle Bell Bash Market

Get your holiday shopping done early at the Jingle Bell Bash at Stovehouse this weekend. There will be discounts from some of your favorite stores, along with some giveaways. The market is Friday to Sunday, and ticket prices range from $10 to $25, depending on which day you go.

🎁 Advent Market

Summit Crossing is hosting its 13th annual Advent Market this Saturday from 8 AM - 2 PM. There will be over 80 local vendors. A portion of the proceeds will support Neverthirst, which brings clean water to people.

🏛️ City Leaders Talk About A New Courthouse

Huntsville city leaders are in the early stages of planning for a new county courthouse. The current courthouse has served Huntsville since 1967, and city leaders are considering options to replace it.

One option is to turn the old Huntsville Library into a Criminal Justice Center. Then, move all court proceedings there.

This would allow them to continue court proceedings without any interruption. Then, they could tear down the current courthouse and rebuild it at the same site.

They have not finalized anything yet, though. The Madison County Commission is waiting for a feasibility study. It will finish in Spring 2025. Then, it will make decisions.

Huntsville has a new all you can eat BBQ restaurant! Booming Hot Pot and Grill is located at 6275 University Drive and serves a wide variety of Hot Pots and BBQ. The all you can eat meals start at $22.99 for lunch and $32.99 for dinner. You can look at the menu here.

🥁 Bob Jones High School Band to Compete in National Championship

The Bob Jones High School Band is headed to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to compete in the Bands of America Grand National Championships.

There will be 113 bands from 20 different states competing. Bob Jones is the only band from Alabama in the competition. Join us in wishing them good luck!
