Southside Cocktail Club is set to open its doors in Downtown Huntsville in mid-December.

Created by two Huntsville natives, the bar blends polished, high-end drinks with the relaxed feel of a neighborhood hangout, giving you a space that’s both refined and easygoing.

Inside, you’ll find touches of Huntsville history showcased through curated artifacts from the owners’ personal collection, adding a sense of local pride to the space!

🍽️ New Orleans-Style Brunch Spot Toast It Iz Now Open

Huntsville food lovers have a new reason to celebrate: Toast It Iz, a Chicago favorite known for its New Orleans–inspired brunches, is open and ready for business.

Starting every morning at 8 AM, you can be among the first to dig into their fresh beignets, gumbo grits topped with fried catfish, lamb chops paired with waffles and a blackberry-Dijon drizzle, and even a deep-fried French toast sundae.

☕️ Foundry Roasters Offers New Hands-On Coffee Experience

Foundry Roasters is offering a new hands-on coffee education experience, giving you a chance to explore coffee far beyond the average cup.

Opting out of a traditional cafe experience, the Stovehouse staple invites you to watch roasting in action, sample fresh brews, join cupping sessions, and try out high-end home machines and brewing tools with guided demos.

Their team makes coffee knowledge easy and approachable in a way that makes getting into the hobby easier than ever. If you want to understand where beans come from, learn better brewing techniques, or level up your at-home setup, all you have to do is ask!

📚️ An Evening With Mark Twain

Emmy Award–winner Richard Thomas steps into the shoes of Mark Twain for MARK TWAIN TONIGHT!, the celebrated one-man show created by Hal Holbrook.

Thomas, known from Our Town, his national turn as Atticus Finch, Ozark, and of course The Waltons, is the only actor ever entrusted to continue Holbrook’s iconic performance. Expect sharp humor, quick wit, and the kind of storytelling that made Twain an American original.

Broadway Theatre League is bringing the show to the VBC on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 6 at 1:00 PM.

The Huntsville Chamber Music Guild’s season continues on Friday, November 21, with the acclaimed Ying Quartet, joined by pianist-composer Daniel Pesca for an evening of beautiful, collaborative chamber music. The concert will be at 7:30 PM at Trinity United Methodist.
