Cheer on the Huntsville Havoc this weekend as they host the Maycon Mayhem on Friday and Saturday.

🚤 Huntsville Boat Show

From January 16 to 19, visit the Von Braun Center South Hall to explore the latest boats and gear. Single-day admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The full schedule and links to purchase tickets are available here.

🎄 Operation Christmas Cleanup

You can recycle your Christmas tree and other holiday items on Saturday, January 18, from 8 to 11 AM at John Hunt Park. Live trees, cardboard, and electronics are all accepted. Old trees will be turned into mulch for city playgrounds. More info.

🌼 Gardening with Kids

Bring the little ones to create a terrarium at Huntsville Botanical Garden on Saturday, January 18, at 10 AM. This fun, hands-on activity is designed to spark a love for gardening in kids of all ages.

Tickets for one child and adult are $50 for members and $100 for non-members. Get tickets.

🚀 Taking Flight

🎙️ The Orion’s Camellia Music & Arts Festival Announced

Mark your calendars for the first-ever Camellia Music & Arts Festival! The festival will be held April 25–27, 2025, at The Orion Amphitheater.

Headliners include Kehlani, Gucci Mane, J.I.D, and Big Boi, with performances by local artists and rising stars.

Before the festival, there will be a free Camellia Community Day. It will feature live performances, local vendors, and family-friendly activities.

Tickets go on sale January 17 at 10:00 AM. You can sign up for pre-sale access here.

⚾️ Trash Pandas Tickets Go On Sale This Friday

The Trash Pandas’ 2025 season begins on April 4 at Toyota Field against the Chattanooga Lookouts. Single-game tickets will be on sale starting January 17.

Prices for general admission start as low as $8. Throughout the season, there will be exciting, family-friendly events, such as fireworks, Ladies’ Night, Tito’s Dog Days, and more.

To get the best prices, it’s best to buy tickets directly from the team’s website, box office, or by phone.

⚽️ Huntsville City FC Preseason Schedule

Huntsville City FC is preparing for the 2025 season with six preseason games. Four will be played at home (John Hunt Park and Wicks Family Field), while the others will be played in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Austin, Texas.

Here are the dates for the four home games:

  • January 25: HCFC vs Lindsey Wilson College at John Hunt Park

  • February 19: HCFC vs University of Alabama in Huntsville at John Hunt Park

  • February 22: HCFC vs Birmingham Legion at John Hunt Park

  • March 1: HCFC vs Chattanooga Red Wolves SC at Wicks Family Field

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. Individual tickets start at $10, and bundles are $22.50. Season ticket holders also get special access to some games. 

🖇️ Office Depot on Memorial Parkway Is Closing

The Office Depot at 2306 Memorial Pkwy SW (between Bob Wallace and Governors) is closing due to high renovation costs. The manager told Huntsville Explorer that the renovation would have cost $3 million.

As the store closes its doors, shoppers can find discounts of up to 50% off everything in the store. No official closing date has been announced, so act fast for deals!
