The U.S. Army turns 250 years old in less than a month, and Huntsville is gearing up for a 2-week celebration!

We’ve got the full list of events below, but a few highlights include the Team Redstone vs. Community Leaders Softball game, Military Appreciation Night at Huntsville City FC, and the Army’s 250th Birthday Ball.

🚀 Taking Flight

🏈 A Kickoff to Remember

The Huntsville Astros will take the field at Milton Frank Stadium for the very first time this Sunday (June 1)! Gates open at 4 PM, and kickoff is set for 6 PM.

The Astros will play the inaugural game against the Tennessee Hornets in the International Football Alliance (IFA) league. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for $27 through Eventbrite.

If you’re excited about the game and are looking for something to do tonight, there’s a meet-and-greet with the team at P.F. Changs at Bridge Street at 4 PM!

💧 Point Mallard Waterpark Opens for the Summer

North Alabama’s favorite waterpark is officially open for the summer! For the next 3 months, you and the entire family can enjoy waterslides and wave pools at Point Mallard while beating the summer heat.

General admission for an entire day ranges between $25 and $30. If you’re looking for a deal, admission is half off every Monday and Wednesday starting at 2 PM.

If you’re new to the area, Point Mallard is a popular waterpark located in Decatur and is just a 45-minute drive from Downtown Huntsville.

USA Today just named Bridge Street one of the nominees for its 10 Best Shopping Centers in the U.S. list.

The mall joins 19 others in the fight for a spot on the list. You can vote for Bridge Street right now through this link!
