December is here, and that means it’s time for holiday markets. There are only 19 days left until Christmas, and there are A LOT of markets to get to this month.

🍸️ New Cocktail Bar Opens This Weekend

A new cocktail bar called Nitro Tales opens this Sunday, December 7.

It’s located at 470 Providence Main St NW, STE 101. The doors will be open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The event will feature coffee, cocktails, Japanese-style tapas ("japas"), and music from a DJ. Everyone is invited to join the fun, whether you're there for drinks, food, or the lively atmosphere.

Bring your friends and enjoy an evening of great vibes and tasty treats. Don't miss this exciting grand opening celebration!

🚨 New Community Center Coming to Sharon Johnston Park

A new community center is coming to Sharon Johnston Park in northern Madison County.

County commissioners approved the project on Wednesday, and construction is expected to take one year to complete.

The new center will feature two gyms, an indoor walking track, and spaces for local events. Commissioner Tom Brandon said the center will serve people in New Market, Hazel Green, and the Buckhorn area.

“There isn’t a facility like this in this part of the county,” Brandon explained. “Everyone is excited about it.”

The project is expected to cost $14 million.

🏒 Huntsville Havoc 26-Game Sellout Streak

The Huntsville Havoc hockey team is having an amazing season! They are in first place in the Southern Professional Hockey League with a record of 10-2-2. They’ve also sold out 26 games in a row.

The team’s president, Josh Strickland, attributes this to their ties to the community. “Our players want to be part of this culture, and it helps the team stay strong,” Strickland said. As a result, the Havoc has raised over $2.5 million for local charities.

🐔 New Chick-fil-A Opening in Town Madison

A new Chick-fil-A opened at Town Madison this Thursday. This is the second Chick-fil-A in Madison owned by Norman Dull, who also runs the Clift Farms location.

The new restaurant at 110 Tom Thrasher Lane will have dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, and mobile-thru options. It will also feature a playground for kids and employ about 100 workers.

In celebration, Chick-fil-A donated $25,000 to Feeding America to help fight hunger locally. The restaurant is also honoring 100 local heroes with free meals for a year.
